This afternoon our precious rental will be catapulted into the 21st century! Hot water, Internet, TV, a working range…may the fun begin! As much as we have all enjoyed the house bonding (read: trying to do everything on our phones & traveling for wifi), everyone is ready to be able to listen to Spotify and cook!
We have made several small decoration and organization improvements around the house that I’ll share for today, because not much else has happened!
Art hung in the living room:
Confession: That is actually the only updated photo I have so I really missed the boat on this one. The photo-hanging is also classified in the “misadventures” category (see previous post) because, as you might be able to tell, the left side is completely unevenly spaced. My scrapbooking and card-making heart is sobbing.
Alas, this unevenness is not due to lack of measurement and careful planning! In a house of intellectuals, we had this measured down to the quarter-inch. But sometimes, walls that fail at being walls get in the way of perfection.
Never fear: the frames have since been adjusted with our trusty command strips and another nail. We’re really good at this housekeeping thing.
So here I sit, without any more pictures to deliver to you. On a computer that’s about to die. In a house with no laptop charger. Watching a dog that I think might hate me. It’s a hard life, my friends.
Dramatic woes aside, I will return soon with lots of delicious food pictures and my life together a little bit more.
